Sheba's Lake House by the Sandbanks

Relax and play at Sheba’s Lake House by the Sandbanks; a beautifully decorated, light-filled, spa-like setting on beautiful West Lake. This French county ‘Provence’ style cottage features panoramic windows that frame an exquisite view of West Lake on both the main and lower levels. The fresh breezes from the lake make traditional air-conditioning unnecessary however; fans are available for still nights.

The main level offers an open concept kitchen, dining and living room. White-painted bead board walls create a calming airy light space and antiques and stained hardwood floors add warmth. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, quality cookware, dishes and glassware. The dining area has a beautiful antique harvest table and benches with a large decorative light overhead. A walk out-patio door from the dining area leads to two lounging decks, overlooking a spectacular water view perfect for alfresco dining while tasting local produce, wines and ciders.

The living room with its floor to ceiling windows provides a comfortable gathering area with couch, loveseat, matching chairs and recliner. A desk is available for a computer, wireless internet is included. On the lower level, this back split cottage offers maximum natural light via a large walk out patio door leading to the waterfront ; a family room with futon couch, TV, DVD, VCR, CD player/radio and for added convenience, a laundry room with washer and dryer.

There are 2 bedrooms on the main level; one with a Queen bed, the other a Double with a shared 3-piece bath with claw foot tub. There is one bedroom on the lower level with 2 Single beds and a Queen size, pull-out futon couch in the family room. A second shared 3 piece bathroom with shower on this level. Linens, pillows, blankets, towels and toiletries are provided. Guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.Outdoor amenities include two lounging decks, BBQ, patio table and chairs, lounge chairs, gorgeous gardens, lawn area, and canoe with paddles.

The 80 foot water front offers great swimming with its gradual declining water levels. Paddle the cottage canoe along the West Lake shore and explore Sheba’s Island. Guests are asked to bring their own life jackets and surf/water shoes. Children playing near or in the water will require adult supervision at all times. Parking is available for 4 cars.

If sandy beaches are calling, pack a picnic and drive less than 3 minute to the Sandbanks Provincial Park and have fun swimming, surfing and sunning. Or relax on the deck while sipping your fist morning coffee, lose yourself in a good book or gaze at the tranquil water vista while watching lots of bird-life in the garden. At the end of the day, watch one of the most beautiful sunsets in Prince Edward County. There are summer homes on both sides of the property, though the area is quiet. The cottage is an ideal getaway destination all year round.
