The Welsh House by the SandbanksSurrounded by scenic farmland, this heritage farmhouse is at the entrance to Sandbanks Park. Walk to Sandbanks Park, or bike less than a kilometer to the Dunes or Sandbanks beach for a sun and sand holiday or relax and experience the tranquility of a quiet country experience. For fishing enthusiasts, East Lake and West Lake are moments away.
The main level of this vacation home offers a large well-equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher (1), coffee maker, toaster, kettle, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. The two dining room accommodates seating for 14 (10 + 4). The two family rooms both contain ample seating with comfy sofas, recliners, antique chairs, TV, DVD, stereo with CD player and satellite for your enjoyment. Additionally, there are 2 dens (one with futon that will sleep 2) containing a card table and chairs, along with books and board games for your enjoyment. A laundry room with washer and dryer and two powder rooms (toilet and sink each) complete the main floor.
The upper level has six bedrooms sleeping 12 comfortably (2 Queen, 3 Double and 2 Singles (or 1 King) and two 4 piece bathrooms. Two single roll away cots and a queen size air bed are also available if required. Linens, bedding and towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
After a day on the beach, relax on the large deck overlooking a pastoral vista of farm fields or enjoy badminton and horseshoes on over an acre of manicured lawn. This home is an ideal setting for large family gatherings. Other amenities include a large gas BBQ, fire pit, deck furniture and lounge chairs throughout the property.
The Welsh House is located at the entrance to the Sandbanks Provincial Park and centrally located to discover Prince Edward County's local produce markets, award-winning wineries, great restaurants and shops in the villages of Picton, Bloomfield and Wellington, art galleries, conservation areas, golf and cultural events.
Ample parking for guest's extra cars and boats. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
