Tranquility Lake House, Sheba’s IslandTranquility Lake House is a perfect setting to rejuvenate the soul or to kick-start adventure. Relax on the deck while watching the captivating blue water of West Lake. Make a splash in the 80 foot waterfront and the sandy beaches of the nearby Sandbanks Provincial Park.
This lovely waterfront property provides all the comfort and room to enjoy with family or friends. This is a back split home where all levels of the house have a walk out patio door to a deck or ground level. On the main floor there are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and on the lower level there is 1 bedroom, a pull-out futon and a bathroom. Quality bedding, linens, toiletries and towels are provided. Guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.
At the entrance to the home, walk into an open concept foyer and living room with vaulted ceilings. The living room is furnished comfortably with attractive furniture – loveseat, couch, rocking chair and coffee table – with a lovely water view.
Off the living room you’ll find a fully equipped, modern, light-filled kitchen with all the conveniences of a premium home; fridge, stove top, oven, dishwasher, microwave/convection oven, kettle, toaster, griddle, quality cookware, dishes, glassware and ample cupboard space. Dine in the eat-in kitchen that seats 6 or entertain 8 in the elegant adjoining dining room; or, exit the kitchen through the patio doors onto a large deck over looking the water and dine al fresco on the deck or the lawn facing the lake.
The main floor is all hardwood, high ceilings and lots of cupboard space. There is a washer and dryer located in the bathroom closet, and central vacuum system for your added convenience.
On the main level there are 2 bedrooms that are comfortable and beautifully decorated. The Master bedroom has a Queen bed, exquisite antiques, ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, spacious closets and a TV; it also offers a walk out to the deck and a stellar view of the lake. The second bedroom boasts a King bed and closet space. A 2-piece common bathroom is also available.
Downstairs on the lower level, there is a large bedroom with a Double bed and Double and Single bunk beds that will sleep 5 people. A pull out futon in the recreational room sleeps two comfortably. A 3-piece bathroom is also located on this level.
The fully-carpeted, lower level is great for entertaining younger guests; The large L-shaped billiards and entertainment room features a pool table, wet bar, large fridge, gas fireplace, TV, DVD, 2 sofas. A walk out patio door leads to a covered porch, lush gardens and waterfront. The covered porch protects guests from too much sun or rain, while still enjoying the outdoors.
Gorgeous manicured lawns and gardens surround the house. Outdoor amenities include BBQ, patio-furniture and lounge chairs – perfect for casual entertaining, savouring local county produce, wines, ciders and beer. Those who wish to cruise the waterways will appreciate the 30 foot dock, boat house and boat rail system to moor or store a boat. The shore line is pebble and offers great swimming. There are zebra mussels on the bottom of the lake; all guests must wear surf shoes.
Bring your own or rent a motor boat, canoe or kayak. Paddle or cruise the water ways of West Lake and the shorelines of Sheba’s Island and Sandbanks Park. Guests are asked to bring their own life jackets.
Amenities include air conditioning, ceiling fans, washer, dryer, dishwasher, outdoor BBQ, central vacuum, gas fire place, pool table, wet bar, second fridge and lots of cupboard space. It also offers telephone, TV, Satellite, VCR, DVD and CD player. Parking is available for up to six cars. This is a smoke-free and pet-free home.
Only a few minutes drive by car, boat or bicycle to Sandbanks Provincial Park.
