Sheba's SanctuaryA drive over the causeway takes you to “Sheba’s Sanctuary” and a Bird lover’s paradise. You will love this bright and tastefully decorated home with lots of windows over-looking the marsh creating a light and airy retreat. Open the doors to the music of birds, a cool breeze sweeping the bulrushes and watch the changing palatte of the water of West Lake. This is an tranquil setting ideal for rest and relaxation and only a short drive to Sandbanks Park for those seeking water-fun adventures.
There are hardwood floors throughout the main and upper levels and carpeting on the lower level, with access to outside from all three levels. There is a calm neutral decor, with vibrant rugs and pillows to give that cheery splash of colour.
On the main level, sip your first morning coffee in the kitchen’s eating nook while gazing through bay windows. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, quality cookware, dishes and glassware. For your convenience a 3-piece bathroom is located on this level and a closet containing a washer and dryer.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the open-concept dining room and living room with windows framing the panoramic scenery. A comfortable dining room table seats six. Enjoy meals with friends and family inside or step out onto the deck and enjoy alfresco dining with stunning surroundings.
The living room provides a comfortable gathering area with a gas fireplace, couch, loveseat, and chair. Entertainment amenities include satellite TV, DVD player, stereo, novels and board games. Wireless internet is available.
This three bedroom will sleep 8 comfortably. The upper level has two bedrooms and a shared 4-piece bathroom. One bedroom has a Queen bed, an ensuite deck, sitting area and spacious walk-in closet. The other bedroom has two single beds and an ensuite deck. The lower level, has a Double bed and a Queen pull-out sofa, a 3-piece bathroom, walk out patio and furniture. Linens, pillows, blankets, towels and toiletries are provided. Guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.
Situated on a very quiet road, Sheba’s Sanctuary is 5km to the beautiful Sandbanks Beach and Sand Dunes, 10 minutes to the lovely village of Bloomfield for browsing the stores and 15 minutes to Picton’s wonderful Restaurants, shops and theatre. Within walking distance are Isaiah Tubbs Resort, West Lake Wakeboard School and Jet ski/water sport activities.
Bring your bicycle and ride to the Sandbanks Provincial Park or try one of many of the excellent cycling route’s locally.
This is the perfect location to return to relax and enjoy the sunsets, to sit outside, read in the hammock and listen to the birds.
