Morning Glory Cottage

Nestled amongst the trees this comfortable waterfront retreat is the place to be to rest and relax with your family. Located on Smiths Bay the water is a safe sandy oasis. This is a cottage as you remember cottages to be. Far enough from the hustle and bustle but only a 15 min. drive to Picton to collect all your supplies and 5 mins from the Black River Cheese Factory where you can sample some of the finest local cheddar or one of their delicious ice creams. Vickie’s Veggies is just down the road where you can purchase all the wonderful local produce fresh from the field.

Morning Glory Cottage has a large family kitchen with Fridge, Stove, Microwave, coffee machine and cutlery and dishes for 8. The kitchen is open to the breakfast/eating area which will seat 6-8 comfortably. Both the dining area & living room face the lake, a few steps away from the cottage. A large wrap around deck is the perfect place to start or finish your day. A good size bedroom with double bed and alcove with a single bed and a 3-piece bathroom is also on this level. There is a TV/DVD on the main floor for those rainy days.

The lower level is wheelchair accessible and has a laundry area with washer & dryer, another living area with pull out couch, TV with VCR and DVD and games room. The second bedroom is here with one double and a pull out sleeper sofa. The property also includes one and a half bathrooms. This lower area has a walk out to the large grassy play area and access to the water. Outside there is a propane BBQ for enjoying outside dining.

Smiths Bay is supposed to have some of the best Pike and Pickerel fishing in the County. A ten min. drive will take you to the delights of Waupoos Winery, the Cider Company and many fruit and vegetable farms along the shore. This is a lovely holiday getaway for you and the children as the water is quite shallow for quite a ways out and has a soft sandy bottom for little feet.
