Description

Noxon House is a fully renovated large historic 1890’s farmhouse located in the picturesque village of Bloomfield on a large lot set back from Main Street.  Within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and local favourite, Slickers Ice Cream, this renovated 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom home is centrally located in the heart of Prince Edward County. Take a 10 min drive to Sandbanks Beaches or relax by the pool and soak up the sun. Perfect for large families or groups who wish to enjoy the pool, the beach, fine dining or the many wineries of the region. 

Due to Prince Edward County bylaws, this property sleeps maximum 12 guests plus 4 children (age 9 and under).

Upon entry find an ample dining room with Harvest Table seating for 10-12 opening up onto a spacious kitchen with seating for 5, stainless steel appliances, Keurig coffeemaker and all the amenities to make your stay comfortable.  The kitchen conveniently opens onto a play area for the children, overlooking the pool.  

Outside the play room, make use of the 12’ x 20’ deck with bench seating and patio seating for 10, great for watching the kids frolic in the in-ground kidney shaped pool. There are 3 chaises lounges available for sun bathers and a gazebo shades a picnic table from the heat of the day. A majestic Oak tree provides shade for those who desire.

In the centre of the house find a media room with a 55” flat screen TV with VGA input, separate living room, 2 piece powder room and laundry room with brand new front loading washer and dryer. There is WiFi internet available for those who wish to stay connected.

Upstairs find 4 stylishly decorated bedrooms and 2 four-piece bathrooms. The master bedroom has 1 queen bed and 1 single daybed, 2 bedrooms have queen beds and 1 bedroom has 1 twin bunkbed and 1 twin captain's bed. Linens are 100% cotton.  Bed and bath linens are supplied. 

On the main level, access the eastern wing of the house past the laundry room and find a self-contained unit that offers privacy for those who wish to retreat from the all the action. 

Situated here are 2 large bedrooms each with a queen bed – 1 with deck and café set for 4; 1 three-piece bathroom; a kitchenette with Keurig coffeemaker, counter, sink and mini-fridge; and a small seating area. Large windows look onto the front of the property with its deep yard, lilac trees and tree swing.

The place was exactly what we needed! We stayed to celebrate my father's 70th birthday and all my family was able to attend. The place was really spacious and every family had their own room. The host was great about being in touch before the event and ensuring we had everything we needed. We even checked in to receive a personal letter from them. There is even talk about returning!

Our big family group had an amazing time at Noxon house for our getaway! We had several families staying together for the weekend. It's very spacious and we had plenty of space for our whole group to spend time together while still have a lot of privacy. The kitchen was huge which is also a big plus, as was the parking lot. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The grocery store and LCBO were only a 10 min drive away straight down the road in Picton. The house is very conveniently located while still being quiet and not too close to the main road or to other buildings. Location also great near a number of wineries for the afternoon wine tour we did on the Saturday. And the view of the night sky from there was amazing. We had a blast and will definitely be coming back!

This place is amazing! I hosted my sisters bachelorette here, 18 girls in total and everyone was raving about it at the end of the weekend. The house was huge and full of charm and character. Clean, spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Christine was always patient and fast to respond to all my questions leading up to the event which was much appreciated! Tons of parking space, pool was a huge bonus, right in the heart of Bloomfield - really couldn't be more convenient. A lot of the girls plan on looking in to booking for their future family/friend events now too :)

Our group went here for a girl's bachelorette weekend. We absolutely loved the house and found everything very comfortable. We were extremely pleased that we didn't need to go out and get any extra supplies. Kitchen was amazing to cook in and made my weekend a little easier. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends. We will be back!

A note to those who are taller than 6'-6"....the ceilings in the upper floor are true to the 1800's ...as in 7' high! If you are one of those people on the taller side you may want to claim a bedroom in the East Wing! For larger groups, there is a double air mattress available - located in the closet by the back door.
